I’ve been artistic my whole life – from making polymer clay creations to painting canvases – it all lead to finding a passion for makeup. I started doing makeup in high school (and it began pretty rough!), but through trial and error I learned what works and what doesn’t. When I found the side of makeup that involves bright colors and non-traditional looks and then eventually discovered body painting, I realized I found a new art that I quickly came to love. My junior year in high school (4 years ago), I did a half sugar skull “body paint” for my costume… at the time I used only eyeshadows for my looks. After that I continued to create and push myself with makeup. As an entrepreneurship major at Kent State, I plan to turn my passion for makeup and body painting into a career. My dad always told me that if you choose a job you love, you’ll never have to work a day in your life. That’s my plan!
